g the Baumgartners is a novella by Selena Kitt. Ronnie has been the Baumgartners babysitter for years. When the Baumgartners invite her on a holiday to Key West, Ronnie jumps at the chance. She is eager to have a bit of relaxation while working on her tan. However, Doc and Mrs B have something more exciting in mind and when they set out to seduce Ronnie, she finds there is much more to the Baumgartners than she had imagined.
This is a hot, steamy read. I quite like Mrs B’s seduction of Ronnie. Ronnie is innocent, but not completely naive, and she knows what she wants. Mrs B is cunning and determined, but she is also sweet and makes sure Ronnie is comfortable with everything while at the same time enthusiastically pursuing her.
The story is told in the first person narrative from the POV of Ronnie, which I quite liked. I enjoyed the transformation of Ronnie from an embarrassed young woman to an enthusiastic sex partner equal to Mrs B and Doc.
There is not much in the way of plot, so if you are looking for a well-developed romance story with some sexy scenes, this won’t be your choice. Each scene is sexier and hotter than the scene before, and you do sometimes wonder how these people can keep up the pace. Once the Baumgartners have seduced Ronnie, it’s pretty much an all-out sex marathon for the rest of their holiday in Key West.
Some stories with a lot of sex scenes become stale. Not so this book. Selena Kitt is able to keep the reader engaged and to introduce something new in each scene. Not all of it was to my taste (I am not into anal for example), but most of it really pushed my buttons. Ensure you have your partner on stand by or have some time to take care of yourself, because this book is going to make you hot.
This book has been made into a movie and I was really interested in seeing it, but when I saw the preview I decided to give it a pass. The actor playing Doc really didn’t do it for me (on the contrary – no offense!) so I will stick to the book and the image of Doc I have conjured up in my mind.
