Coitus interruptus: the challenges of being interrupted

tangled limbs

Parenting is great. Kids are great. Most of the time, at least. But kids bring with them many challenges. And I am not even speaking of the usual raising-them-properly and teaching-them-good-manners challenges. No, I am talking about how they can make it so challenging for you to have sex. Orgasms are not the only measure of great sex

explosion

Orgasms are great. I love the thigh clenching, shuddering orgasms a toy like the We Vibe Tango can pull out of me. I love how my husband can make me orgasm in unexpected ways by touching me with feather light touches, leaving me a quivering mess. Every woman should be able to orgasm and I would urge every woman to masturbate in an effort to find out what makes you orgasm. Continue reading “Orgasms are not the only measure of great sex”

Look at the progress you’ve made!

Waterfall

My husband is a bit of a computer freak and a bit of a hoarder. Which is how he came to find an old erotic story of mine on a floppy disk. Yes, I am that old, and so was that story. He found it very arousing and let me read a bit of this and, readers, I cringed so hard. That was SUCH bad writing, I couldn’t believe it. What was I thinking? Some general New Year’s resolutions for 2018

Yesterday I looked back at my accomplishments in 2017, today it is time to look forward to 2018. My 2017 New Year’s resolutions were detailed and specific. I wanted to achieve certain goals and I thought that making them very specific would motivate me to work towards achieving them. Continue reading “Some general New Year’s resolutions for 2018”

2017 – a year in review

New Year's resolution fireworks

I had planned a whole blog post where I would look back to New Year’s Eve 2016 and see what wonderful New Year’s resolutions I had for 2017. Then I read my 2016 NYE post and decided against that idea. Reason being, I have not achieved any of the goals I set for myself for 2017. Continue reading “2017 – a year in review”

My Little Pony: a story of gender neutral marketing

My Little Pony

My youngest son (age 8) is crazy about My Little Pony. He had heard children talk about the show at school and then became aware there was a movie as well. Roughly around the same time, my husband picked up a Tesco toy catalog. The first couple of pages in the catalog were completely gender neutral, featuring a range of “popular” toys without showing kids playing with the toys. My youngest happily circled the My Little Pony toys to put on his Christmas list and announced he really wanted to see the movie too. Successful monogamy: is that possible?

Monogamy has been the status quo for a very long time and it is refreshing to see alternatives becoming more acceptable. But I feel that monogamy has gotten a bad name and as a sex blogger, I sometimes feel a bit silly for being monogamous. But my husband and I have been exclusive for 20 years (married for 16) and I don’t recognise our relationship in the staid picture of monogamy that the media usually portrays. Share our Shit Saturday: What I enjoyed reading this week

Another week has come and gone, time flies these days. In keeping with the #SOSS hashtag, here is another round up of blog posts I found interesting this week. I have decided to also share links to other people I find interesting (Twitter or their personal website), because I don’t like to limit myself to blogs only. I just want to share shit in general (the hashtag is Share our Shit, not Share our Blog Posts after all). Continue reading “Share our Shit Saturday: What I enjoyed reading this week”

ENDED – One year blogiversary: win a Sh! Bliss Vibe

My blog is turning one, I can’t believe it! It doesn’t seem like I have been blogging about sex for a year, but it appears to be the case. I have grown a lot in the last year, both as a sex blogger and as an individual, and I am so grateful for all the other sex bloggers out there who helped me find my feet, consoled me when my website went down and I lost a LOT of blog posts, and made me feel welcome in the sex blogging community.
