Successful monogamy: is that possible?

Monogamy has been the status quo for a very long time and it is refreshing to see alternatives becoming more acceptable. But I feel that monogamy has gotten a bad name and as a sex blogger, I sometimes feel a bit silly for being monogamous. But my husband and I have been exclusive for 20 years (married for 16) and I don’t recognise our relationship in the staid picture of monogamy that the media usually portrays. Share our Shit Saturday: What I enjoyed reading this week

Another week has come and gone, time flies these days. In keeping with the #SOSS hashtag, here is another round up of blog posts I found interesting this week. I have decided to also share links to other people I find interesting (Twitter or their personal website), because I don’t like to limit myself to blogs only. I just want to share shit in general (the hashtag is Share our Shit, not Share our Blog Posts after all). Continue reading “Share our Shit Saturday: What I enjoyed reading this week”

ENDED – One year blogiversary: win a Sh! Bliss Vibe

My blog is turning one, I can’t believe it! It doesn’t seem like I have been blogging about sex for a year, but it appears to be the case. I have grown a lot in the last year, both as a sex blogger and as an individual, and I am so grateful for all the other sex bloggers out there who helped me find my feet, consoled me when my website went down and I lost a LOT of blog posts, and made me feel welcome in the sex blogging community. I took a class at Sh! Women Store and it was awesome

Sh Women Store

About a week and a half ago, on 19 October, I attended a class at Sh! Women Store. I had planned to attend a class earlier in the year, but never got round to do it. This time, I was in London for work anyway, so I had no excuse not to go. Continue reading “I took a class at Sh! Women Store and it was awesome”

Monogamous sex blogger: contradiction in terms?

When I started my sex blog, I did not know many other sex bloggers. I initially started my blog to have a place to post my erotic short stories and to muse about sex in general. I didn’t even consider myself a sex blogger. It wasn’t until I started doing the Summer 100 Sex Blogger Challenge that I got to know other sex bloggers and I started to get a bit self conscious when I read their blogs. The challenges of sex blogging as a mum

Sex blogging is fun. So much fun. I love testing sex toys and learning more about what I like in my toys, and I love talking about sex in general. The sex blogging community is also amazing, both through blogs and social media (in my case, Twitter). But being a sex blogging mum is not without its challenges. The internet is a wonderful, addictive, scary place

I am actually old enough to remember a time before the internet. When I started university the internet was a very new thing. I had a computer at home, but no internet connection, so if I wanted to be online, I had to go to the university. Social media didn’t exist and we barely had mobile phones, let alone smart phones.
