I have always wanted to try a massage candle. The idea of hot wax dripping on me, only to be smoothed out as my partner massages me seems incredibly hot. Likewise I love giving massages, but because my hands are always cold, the inital shock of pouring cold oil on my husband’s back and starting the massage cold was always a bit of a hurdle. Hot oil from a candle seemed like such a better idea.
A while back I picked up the Dona Kissable Massage Candle at Sh!. I have had it for a good few months and never tried it, so I finally pinned down my husband one night and tried it out. This candle is supposed to have aphrodisiacs and phermones in it as well to arouse you. I am always quite sceptical about these types of claims, as I can’t really see how a candle can turn you on.
The directions on the package say to leave the candle burning for a few minutes, blow it out and let it cool a bit before dripping the warm oil onto the back of your partner (or any other body part for that matter). So I lighted the candle and we cuddled for a bit while we waited for the wax to melt. The Dona Kissable Massage Candle smells great. Vanilla is one of my and my husband’s favourite smells and soon the room started to smell great. I couldn’t wait to use it.
After a few minutes, however, there was still not enough oil in the candle to start the massage, so we waited a bit longer. After 10 minutes I figured there was enough, so I blew out the candle, poured out the oil and started the massage. I should have waited another 10 minutes, because there still wasn’t nearly enough oil for a decent massage. You definitely have to take the time for it with this candle. But when you do have enough oil, it’s great. It glides wonderfully well, smells good and makes the skin feel great. It also soaks into the skin, so you are not left with very greasy skin after your massage, which is a problem I have with other massage oils.
It was just supposed to be a massage, nothing more. Hubby and I were both tired and I just wanted to test out the candle so I could write my review. Whatever phermones were in the candle worked, because it didn’t take long for the massage to develop into something a lot more erotic, and soon we abandoned all pretext and had fantastic sex.
A few days later it was my turn to see how I liked the oil on my own skin. Once again we lit the candle and cuddled for a bit, but this time we knew to leave the candle on for a longer period of time. Ater 20 minutes we didn’t really have enough oil yet, but I was getting impatient and time was slipping by, so I blew out the candle and let hubby take it from there.
It was an amazing feeling to have the hot wax drip onto my skin. Hubby didn’t wait very long so the wax was quite warm still which only added to my enjoyment. His hands glided over my body with ease an overall it was a very good experience. Again, the oil soaked into my skin nicely so we didn’t get it all over the sheets.
As we were both already horny before we started the massage, I can’t tell you whether the Dona Kissable Massage Candle really does have an arousing effect. It smells goed, works well for massageing, so what else do you really need?
You can get the Dona Kissable Massage Candle from Sh! and it comes in three scents: Chocolate Mousse, Strawberry Souffle and Vanilla Buttercream.
