A while ago, Betty’s Toy Box was kind enough to send me the Cal Exotics Red Hot Flare clitoral stimulator. It has been a while since I have reviewed toys on my site, I had gone off it a bit, but my site has been a bit light on content, so I thought I’d review a toy or two.
What I liked about the Cal Exotics Red Hot Flare is that it has two little rabbit ears that are supposed to sit on either side of your clitoris. I prefer the sides of my clitoris being stimulated, so I thought this would be a great toy for me.
Before we go into whether I liked this toy as much as I expected I would, let’s get some facts out of the way. The Cal Exotics Red Hot Flare is made of body safe silicone, which is non-scented, non-porous and hypoallergenic. It is USB rechargeable, which is always a big plus for me, as I find rechargeable toys last longer. And you don’t have to mess around with batteries. The motor has 10 functions: three speeds and seven pulses. I never really like the patterns, so I tend to just use the speeds.
The Cal Exotics Red Hot Flare has quite a bit of power considering how small it is. It fits easily in my hand, just the perfect size: not too big, not too small. The end is tapered, so the rabbit ears are nice and small. They should be, considering they need to fit on either side of the clitoris. I like the feel of the silicone in my hand, it’s smooth and velvety. The toy is also waterproof so you can use it in the shower or the bath. This does mean that the hole for the charger is quite small and you need to use some force to get the charger plug into it, but I am used to that from other waterproof toys. I did try it in the shower and it stood up quite well.
So how did the Cal Exotics Red Hot Flare live up to my expectations? I didn’t hate it. The soft silicone ears are definitely not suitable for strong pressure: this is a more delicate stimulation. If you are like me and prefer harder pressure against your clit, you may be disappointed in this toy. Not that I was disappointed, but I had to adjust my masturbation technique so I could get the best from this toy. I had to be more patient with it.
The dual rabbit ears didn’t really fit well on either side of my clit. I kept turning the toy as well, as I don’t tend to lie still when masturbating, so initially I found that frustrating. But after faffing about with it a bit more, I did find a way to allow the ears to vibrate on one side of my clitoris, which felt great. It may not have been how the toy was intended, but that’s not a big deal. I find I usually use sex toys different from how they are intended. Every body is different, so it only stands to reason that everyone finds their own perfect way of using sex toys.
I was able to orgasm with the Cal Exotics Red Hot Flare and easily too. But the orgasm wasn’t as deep and satisfying as I experience with some of my other, beloved toys. I think it’s because the Cal Exotics Red Hot Flare administers fairly light vibrations that are aimed at the nub of my clitoris only. With other clitoral vibrators, I like to also stimulate the clitoral arms, which I think accounts for a deeper orgasm.
I also tried this toy during sex with my hubby, which was also not a resounding success. I had a hard time keeping it in place and my husband didn’t like the vibrations against his cock. They were more ticklish than pleasurable for him, so we aren’t doing that again in a hurry.
I don’t think the Cal Exotics Red Hot Flare is a bad toy by any stretch of the imagination. I mean, I didn’t particularly love it, but I was still able to get an orgasm with it on more than one occasion. If you like softer silicone vibrators with strong vibrations, then this may well be the perfect toy for you. It looks cute, it holds a charge for a decent amount of time and it has quite a few settings. The speeds are quite good as well, I tend to like strong speeds, and the third and fastest speed did not disappoint in that respect. I think the toy is of good quality and, like some of the other Cal Exotics toys I have, it looks funky and the box is really neat. Cal Exotics is definitely a brand that I like, and it’s not too expensive either.
You can get the Cal Exotics Red Hot Flare at Betty’s Toy Box for $47.99.

This is very ridiculous. This is the second time I have had to purchase this sex toy and in a span of two months it stops working. How can one keep spending huge amounts of money on a toy and it stops working in two months? Please explain because this is fucking ridiculous and very disappointing. Such a rip off! Do better
I suggest you take this up with the manufacturer or the seller of the toy. I only reviewed the toy and have no affiliation with either.
